We dont know TBH.
But they dont really seem to make it a staple on the menu. Pigs/Chickens are easier to keep. They dont seem to keep "meat" cows, some dairy cows are around.
Lamb is not cheap either for some reason I dont understand as there is a load of sheep around.
Which is why we go and pick a lamb for the frezzer
But to get a good bit at an eatery is always expensive here(relative to other meats).
But When I or M want a good steak we know where to go. The Fish resturant in the big town do a mean steak and now the new place.

Mutton is more popular in Europe, dunno why, maybe it's a leftover thing from the cull at year end before Winter ...
