Break in the rain gave me the chance to go out and fit the new door mirror on the Disco.
when I took the one off I had mended it proved to be "mended" i.e. the glue hadn't held.
although it'd probably have been OK-ish.
Still done now, fiddly though, like so much on cars nowadays.;)

What do you all do for phones/data in Europe now? Do you just buy a PAYG SIM in France? Can you use that in other countries eg spain, Portugal etc?
I paid £10 for a roaming package with EE a couple of weeks ago as an add on to my usual contract. It lasts a month. Covers Europe and USA, Canada etc. There's a lot of other packages available, I just ended up 'phoning them and chose that one.

We use our Brit ones. but then we don't use mobiles much. You can get decent deals.
In France it can occasionally be necessary to have a French mobile number, for deliveries and stuff so I have a cheap mobile I can put a pay as you go Sim in. But I cannot remember the last time I was forced to do this. But then we do have a landline. Mobile signal isn't great where we are, 600 meters up.

My folks want to go away for 3 months, then off to Morocco.. with uk provider that gets a bit expensive :(
Right, might just be cheaper to buy cheap phones and Sim cards there then.
My Tesco mobile works fine in France as does my new (to me) Android and it seems to cost me very little money but then, as I said I don't use it much. Will they be staying in places with free WiFi? That'll work just fine and we do it a t friends places or in hotels en route.
Which country(ies) will they be going to before Morocco, France/Spain/Portugal?

Just those 4 i think. Pre brexit they just bought a SIM in Morocco, roaming was free for the rest.
Now their current provider wants £2/day to roam!!
Wifi is an option but when on the road there isn't much

Tesco mobile PAYG runs on strongest signal available, My Android runs on 4G I think, W isn't here else I'd ask her what her Aplle runs on but I think it might be 4G too.
Sounds like they may need to shop around or warn their provider they are going to change if they don't come up with a better rate.
