Passenger side catch holds the switch give it a good spray of cleaner some new lube then work it:).

It's been perfect since I've had it, first time it's done it. I did spray some white grease up it a month ago for the hell of it but it was already very greased up.

I've seen diesel bug, get it every now and then in the torpedo space heater when I forget to drain it after winter.
This stuff didn't have it.
I don't even know if the stuff was 4 yrs old tbh, the guy who owned it had died and his mate was selling it on behalf of his daughter who lived in South Wales, car was in Coventry where the deceased lived, daughter couldn't drive. The seller looked well dodgy but knew how stuff worked so I suspect he smoked about in it then drained most of the diesel before slapping it on eBay. That's when I came in, all starry eyed and wet behind the ears:rolleyes:

When it gets out of hand, it goes completely black. I have had it happen once, only in a fuel can, luckily.
But there are small traces of bug in almost all fuel systems, living on the film between the fuel and water droplets.
Also, unfortunately, in the bulk tanks in fuel depots.

On the boats, we keep the tanks full all the time, and change filters and drain sedimenters as described by Data.
But we still add biocide a few times a year, usually spring and autumn, the seasons of maximum temperature change, to be on the safe side.

Took a quick whizz up the road last night, no MOT or tax but got insurance of course to see if the abs light went out, it did:) and that the auto box worked, it did:) and listen for any death noises, there were non:):):).
Off to the MOT at 10am , took the long way, about 20miles, and everything seems fine:):):). Booted it to get the redex through where I could and arrived at the MOT station, turned her off and wondered in. Guy took the key and drove her on to the ramp while I sat in the viewing area nervously:(.
He walked past me after about 20mins and I asked how it was going?
He said, so far, advisery on the rear indicators, not orange enough and a fail because the abs light is on:eek:.
I politely pointed out that it goes out at above 5mph but he said it's still a fail because it was presented to him with the light on:(.
Then I remembered that I had turned the engine off which means it resets so need to get to 5mph again and it will stay off. Luckily the handbook was inside so I found the relevant page and showed him, he then took it up the road and the light went out so he was happy:).
12months MOT:):):)! and he must have forgotten about the indicator bulbs as there are no advisories.
Driving back, I played with the cruise control and that works great too:)
Everything works!!:):).
Not 100% sure about the Aircon though at this point, seemed colder than ambient but I feel it should be better, overall , I'm chuffed:)

Duchess lives again!:D:D:D
