We are big softies, all of ours sleep in the bedroom every night, and the youngest often on the bed for quite a lot of the night.
At the mo, since she still has stitches in, I have to carry her up and down stairs and we make sure she sleeps on the bed so we can tell if she is trying to chew at her stitches. fortunately the vet has put a big bandage over the incision and this really seems to work. It worked very well when we had the other one done too.:):):)

Was very fine all day yessdi, but we feared thunder and lightning quite often so switched the Sosh box off and disconnected the plugs.
Today is a mix of sunshine and clouds but still warm.
No real big plans except Wifey says she "has" to do some sewing.
I aim to mend the mount for my flicking dash cam, have tried with one sort of glue, didn't work so will have to try two part epoxy. We shall see. ;)

Mine have free run of the whole bungalow - except the bathroom - they have many beds scattered about the place and know they are never allowed on ANY furniture, ANYwhere at a ANY time. :) I don't get into their beds so they don't get in/on mine.

I think your dogs are prolly a ton bigger than ours. Ours weigh about 16 kgs max.
We have leather armchairs and sofas, so easy to keep clean.
And we love cuddling our dogs so we welcome them onto our laps, but they don't just jump up, usually, they ask first!
We too have beds all over the place and they sometimes sleep on them but often they just lie where they want. In the heat over here, they prefer the cool of the tiled floor.
I think everyone has different relationships with their dogs. No "right" no "wrong" just different. ;):)

As you say, it is whatever you want and works best for you. I just cannot have a 22kg, long haired, mud-caked Beardie on my furniture (or me) no matter how easy it is to clean!
All cuddles are asked for and I go down to their level to administer such. :)
One of my previous B's, a bitch, used to race into the shower room at the other end of the bungalow and try to hide behind the loo!!!! She always felt safe if her head was hidden. :D
The 'dogs' are very different in the way they cope. The older one spends most of his waking hours (9am to 10.30pm) outside, regardless of the weather, the heavier the rain the deeper he digs his 'bolt' hole which is under the hedges. The younger one spends far more time in with me. Fortunately my floors are either tiled or laminate so my wool carpets are not what they choose.
An interesting fact for every Beardie I have had is that they all felt safe in their mobile kennel! They do not mind if it is moving or stationary, day or night. One bitch was so bad with thunder and lightning I had to sedate her UNLESS she was in the mobile kennel. :confused::confused::confused::) At night I had been known to get up and put her there :D so peace and calm was restored for the animal.

They are funny things aren't they?!
One of ours, when it is really hot, likes to go and sleep in the downstairs loo which is cool and she curls around the loo under the cistern which is even cooler.
We have only ever once had a cage thing. We go it cos the new dog was being "got at" by the other two, when she first arrived. After a while and when we no longer needed to zip her into it, she'd go there every now and then, and then strangely the other two would sometimes go in there too. Ours also like lying under tables or in corners, or preferably both. Back to instinct I think. Safer with a barrier to their backs. :):):)

My neck is very sore & stiff and makes a gristly grinding noise as I turn my head left/right. My shoulders too are sore and my back feels like it is going to go into "spasm" at any moment. :(

I have far too much to do for this sort of nonsense to be happening. :(

Guid afternoon
Busy morning , washing done and hung oot
5 mile river walk and collected more brambles, got 10 jars produced yesterday, so should get another 10 jars from today's haul.
I did 2 lucky dips on the lottery yesterday and got on the first line a free lucky dip, on the second row I got 4 numbers and £140.00
Excellent, the most I have ever won, good timing as wife's car is in for an aircon recharge tomorrow and should be enough left over for
a bottle of Isle of Jura as finished the last one last night.
Just had black pudding/egg roll for lunch, will let it settle and hit the gym later.
Gez rain just started better get the washing in

Hey @Glasgie !
Don't you put the tops on as soon as they are filled? We do, as in the past we have had the odd one go off through not doing that. I know they are hot anorl but it lets then do the vacuum sealed thing.
But then we keep our jams for years! (Neighbour counted our fruit trees when we were away and told us we have 47. That's a lot of fruit a lot of which we make into jam.)
Do you use a jam funnel?
We find ours speeds things up enomously!!
Frogs love their preserves!

When we moved here we drove over 2 trailers 1 small box with the RR. then a bigger box with the pickup. All boxes were weighed and written on so they could be distributed and heavy 1s on the bottom, Also had to try and offset a 500lb bike:D.
Yep we didnt bring much:D.

I have worked out I need 1600 kgs payload for the three machines and the rest of the workshop that is going on the trailer. I have already taken a load to my parents place and will need to take another before the move!
