Nope. I phoned then yesterday to ask when they were intending to break their silence as I had heard nothing in 3 weeks. Usual reply "We are so busy ..." I was not impressed! Eventually they suggested I contacted the maker of the Mover and this I did. The chap there was very knowledgeable but from his tone I got the impression my problem was not unusual and it was almost always a 'fitting' problem. He asked me to measure the distance between two named parts and when I gave my best guesstimate he was not surprised that it was larger than it should be - i.e. a fitting problem, so it is going to be back to the dealer. Before I do this I asked my 'gardener' to come and check my measurements - he is a trained mechanical engineer. He agreed that the gap was a bit too big but was not convinced it was that that had caused the problem so he went off in his own little world, taking videos of all the moving bits! Ah! The video has just arrived. I will now forward this to Powertouch to see if they agree.

Hope you get this sorted soon, it must be so frustrating for you.

Afternoon folks

Another cracking day.
Again spent in the garden in shorts with white legs out, M got out the tow behind and cut the paddock, its coughing and spluttering a bit and has for some reason used twice as much fuel to do the job, and the bloody solenoid seems to have gone duff over the winter. So that's on the list for a coat of looking at.

Cops dropped by and handed me my fine for losing my driving license so I am off down town tomorrow to the bank to pay that then have to take the receipt to the cops, they haven't quite got there with paying things online yet. Why I couldn't have just paid the fine when I registered that I had lost it is all a bit of a modern mystery. That would cut out a huge amount of man hours and people, cant have that. Thinking about taking the bike cos the cop house has a lovely courtyard type area and it would sound awesome in there At least they would then know who owns it. They know all our cars but haven't connected the bike yet.

Treat for tea tonight, Proper chip shop pie and chips.

Suppose they want to deter people from selling them then claiming they were "lost".

Hmmm!
Wifey does all the painting in gloss of doors and architraves, she does it slowly but bloody well.

The kitchen I'm doing the walls are in "Egyptian cotton" and the ceiling is in matt white. Couldn't believe how every place I went from the ceiling to the wall, no matter how tiny, really caught the eye, but a smaller artists brush and some wall paint has sorted it out.
If your mrs messed that up how did she manage to do the ceiling line so well? Tis the one I always have a problem with, unless I go very carefully.
Think I must be getting old, that's the first time I messed it up enough to need redoing.

Its only 4.4% so not quite Stella act a **** strength.

If we are out its usually 90-120pence a pint in a restaurant, not the posh place though we don't pay for service, we pay for good food

Mr Stupid managed to cock up putting his unit together.
Went together as well as all the other units I've put together in my life, which must be getting on for about 100.
Sat back, got the fings what the legs attach to, looked for the holes on the base.
Found them.
On the INside.

Can't decide whether to take the thing apart again, flip the base then put it back together, drilling new holes where necessary, to avoid removing and replacing screws in thier original places in sh!tboard. which in my experience is a recipe for disaster.
Or whether to live with it, cut through the skin so the leg mounts will go it and live with the holes on the inside. Relying on the fact that Wifey always lines kitchen cupboards. Could always fill 'em and paint 'em first..
That's a bodge and I don't normally bodge.

It is what I will do.
I think what happened was that, with my back playing up, I asked Wifey to come in and help holding things and even tightening things up.
(Don't normally let her anywhere near a screw driver.)
So I took my eye off the ball.
(She was a big help and did exactly what I asked with no arguing.)

They do have some amazing beers, strong as heck, often made by monks!

Strongly agree on the policing bill but I struggle to see the issue of ID and voting (but not surprised at all that the left have equated it to the Nazi's, yet again...)

Why do you think we need it ?

Many who struggle to afford food/rent/heat can not afford to buy a new passport/ drivers license ... they can't afford holidays abroad nor to buy and run a car, what makes you think they will get 'value for money' from voter ID ...

And who do you think they'd vote for if they did ?

Fairly sure if it goes through there would be provision for some kind of free ID for those without the means. It does beg the question how can they be renting with no id? Not registered anywhere? It's interesting how people decide we don't need it.... it's common practice in the EU which I thought was better than us

I believe the call is for 'photo ID' rather than the usual birth cert and utility bills ...
