I've just fitted my electrics - plug in kind, and there doesnt seem to be any indication the electrics are working when towing - is this normal? - in my disco there was a little green flashing car that came up. no beeping either. Do i need to do anything - help

Many thanks

When I recently fitted my towbar electrics (also plug in kit), it came with a replacement flasher relay that I substituted for the original. The new relay powers the dash trailer tell-tale as well.

If I remember correctly, the flasher relay is second one in from the right in the fuse box located in drivers side glovebox. The uprated one has 4 pins, the standard one, three.

If you didn't get one in your kit, I know you can get one from Land Rover, or possibly Halfords - do a search on here I am sure other people have suggested where the cheapest source is in the past.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks for the fast response - if anyone has the relay ref number I'd appriciate it.

however I did like the other flasher above - far more interesting than mine

Thanks again...

Check the trailer symbol (in the rev counter) illuminates when you use the hazard lights without the trailer. This should also show up when using the trailer indicators.
