200TDI - Diff Pinion 2 or 4 ??? HRC 1124

Hi,
From the stamp on the outside of the Diff ( HRC 1124 ) & ( A-15L-F ) can you tell from this if its a 2 or 4 pinion Diff ??

I don’t believe you can.
I didn’t think they fitted any 4 pin diffs to defenders as standard. I can only say they fitted it to the 4.6 RR rear diff standard.

Why would you like to know?

yes v8 90s and some sv,hrc casting number wouldnt help identify which

Thanks for the info so far... i need to replace both axle drive halfs as the last owner welded the end to the drive flange. Paddock own seem to sell these for the 2 pinion's, so fingers crossed its correct

Didn’t know the the half shafts made a difference the diff has its own spec and if you have ordered for your year it should be ok, I think it’s the splines on the end that changed.
Quick enough to pull 1 and check, before you spend money.
I have fixed 1s (I think). Never broke 1 or had any reason to pull 1, yet.
