Hi Everyone

I've got an ex military TD5 (White Fleet). It still has the original Nato 24v 12 pin socket (no idea if its still connected to anything).

After I bought the vehicle, I had a tow bar fitted for my caravan with a 12v set up. However, my trailer light does not appear to be connected on the dash. I'm guessing that the old military wire just needs to be connected to the new one (complete guess). Alternatively, maybe I need to connecting something else to somewhere else but have no idea.

Any clues anyone?

Much obliged

Chris

IIRC the trailer light on your instrument binnacle only comes on when you use the indicators or hazards.

It doesn't come ion under any circumstances for me I'm afraid. I do not think the light is wired up. I'm wondering where the wiring goes to from the binnacle.

Thanks
Chris

I should imagine it'll be fed from the + feed from the indicator stalk switch and the hazard relay. Will probably be an earth issue after that. Do all the lights work properly on the trailer? If so, it might just be the bulb in the instrument cluster. To be honest I'm just an interested novice when it comes to Landy electrical issues. @Kwakerman has always been my go to electrical guru.

It should be like this in the dash with the trailer connected and indicating left or right, these lights on the dash will flash (the green ones)
