We sweep them into clear plastic bags and they go to the recycling centre and either are composted with grass cuttings, food waste etc. or go to the incinerator on the River bank to make energy ...

With five mature, healthy oak trees, the leaf fall seems endless! I have a quality leaf blower/sucker but I would still not be able to keep up with the rate of fall and that, coupled with this year's unbelievably heavy crop of acorns, makes clearing a total waste of time and energy. Anyway, its going to be very windy in the days to come so I will just leave them to nature's cleaner-upper.
PS. acorns hurt when they fall on you!

Evening All.
It would appear that I have secured meself a full time job so unfortunately I won't be a man-of-lesiure over the Christmus period.
Not sure of the starting date yet but the HR lady is trying to arrange it so that I have a week off between leaving the current job and starting the new one.
