I have a 93' 110 and I just installed a winch. I wanted to make sure the winch didn't have any problems pulling the dead weight of the truck (and because I wanted to play with it) so I put it in grass, hooked the winch to a tree, and locked the diffs and put it in reverse gear (engine wasn't running) to make it as heavy as possible.

The back wheels and the left front (passenger side) wheel didn't move. The right front, however, did. It wasn't free spinning, but it would slowly rotate in spurts. Is this to be expected or is something up with my front diff (or axel or cv joint)?

locked the diffs ,have you axle lockers fitted or just the diff lock for t/box

What happened then was normal, uneven amounts of traction allowed the front diff to do its thing and the wheel turned some. The only way for all wheels to be locked solid is for someone to hold the footbrake on.
