Dangerous as f*ck with no hard shoulder. I worked on the roads over 20 years ago and it is way more busy now. As soon as I saw one I said people will die and unfortunately I was proven correct yet still the cock-wombles in charge persist with their experiment.

For average speed camaras I just put the cruise control on, switch to Classic FM and try not to fall asleep.

I can sort of see the idea. I can see it ending in disaster too. I sure as hell don't feel safe knowing if anything did happen ie a flat tyre, relying on a lane camera and a sign puts life in danger more then hard shoulder..

Im alright with the cruise control on the roadwork sections but over a distance I get agitated and feel out of control. Amazing how a couple of mm movements in the pedal makes you feel so much more in control.

Planned to prep Orville for a respray over the next few weeks. However, A) Paint shop is booked solid until after November, B) New job starting next week so she may have to be a daily driver for a few weeks.(shock horror..!!).
So, ordered meself one of these for now...

What could possibly go wrong..?

Best keep on the move when you switch it on and dont stop moving till you switch it off.

Nothing :( She's still many, many, miles away with the Dr, and his associates :( No idea when she's coming home. Nearly bought an Isuzu to run around in, until she comes home.

Well got home about 3am. Near 2000 miles over the weekend.
I think the inevitable has happened.
Im fairly sure in 5th with tc lockup 52 54mph foot down to get pace past a truck got a judder.
This happened in wales 500miles from home so made a point of knocking over to sport on the hills and no judders.
Il have to drop the pan later in the week see if there's debris and how deep my pockets need to be.
Found in the history the tc was never changed when the box was replaced so 157k the original tc has done. 70k box has now done.

A few loads of logs today. Air suspension really comes into its own. Unfortunately when vacuuming I noticed a little water in the spare wheel well, apparently fed from under the jack polystyrene thing. So I have a small leak, enough for a small patch of rust so cleaned that and applied rust remedy product. Got to find the leak now.
