Well you'll know as soon as you take the plug out, if that is what it was!It made bad noises about 30 miles from home. By the time i got home, no noises and was running fine until i stopped on the drive and it started running on 3 cylinders

I have driven cars where the valve guide was so worn it felt like it was missing on one cylinder, which it was in effect, and come across one belonging to a colleague who also had the same problem, but no nasty noises, just down on power and that. Twas the Dolpmite (Sodomite) Sprint of course!

bmw e91 320i (n43 engine) crappest car I've owned.. its got a NOX catalyst which is the petrol equivalent of a DPF. only you have to drive at least 70mph for 20-30 mins continuously to regen. thats impossible on our road networkWhat car is it? (Say it very quietly.)

When i fitted my sports exhaust it came straight after the standard, admittedly non-cat, number, and there the improvement was much noticeable. But then if the pipe on your new one is at all tuned, you still might.
Whatever, it beats the sh!te out of the standard system!
