The EAS relay is not a bog standard thing but a special
I would put the compressor back on to get the car on the road for now
About 65psi on all bags is about right ish
yes the dealy relay is something you need to replace with the same.
i put a relay in the fuse box. thats the one which was missing.
sorry didnt explain exactly.
the fusebox relay is a standard one for now. not yellow.

If you take plugs off and ten reconnect there shoudnt be a problem and you have the means to reset

ok. thanks u try this in the morning. i seen a video from someone done this and it worked for him.
i am just aware in case there are more problems especially with this becm which i cant play with at all.
and tbf i cant afford 400 or 500 quit for such a software for now.

well it is a standard 4 pin relais.
surely is should do the trick for testing.
i understand on a long run to get the original one but for now every little i pay out for not going anywhere is far to painful.
sorry i am not trying to spend loads of money in the car to make it a 20k worth car. - all in all its a 1996.
i want it running properly and how it should but not making a new one out of it. but still be proud of it.

i just watched a video about the delay relay under the seat.
when i opened the column on the seat the delay relay was lying on the floor.

so not sure if that has something to do with the problem not getting rx values on the diagnostic.

btw. no wet carpets or any sign of water or coolant on the carpet.
Pretty sure no delay relay computer no talk to car ! Sold my p38 2 and half years ago so bit out of touch with eas on it, moved on to l322 ( yes I know mad ! )

The delay relay is a necessary piece of kit
Wont cost much more money just time

of that is the culprint i will get one.
i seen you can test this by connecting pin and 5 on the back of the obd prot.
thats something i try to tomorrow.

i just dont understand why the fusebox relay was missing and if that has some to do with the eas sending faults now but not before.

ha ha. some people i know have them. i was told to stay away far as possible form it. i can imagine why.
i did want the p38 because it looks the part. its just nice to look at and to drive one.
after i had one about 20 years back with NO problems for a year i always wanted one again.

not sure if that was a good idea by now. lol

Right... you need to reinstall the tall black delay relay under the passenger seat or you will have no diagnostics. The PO presumably removed the fusebox relay because there was an issue with EAS that he never resolved. You could start by checking the ride heights, and if they're outside of the valid data range. We don't know how smart the PO was - so you may as well start at ground zero. Don't switch to coils : o)

ytuomh ,u jastfrdy mpy yp.

how do i re install this relay.
i know where it is and how to test by pin and 5.
i donjt know how to re install it.

the idea of doing back to what it was when i bought it was to determinate everything from the start.
starting by every part i put in and check straight away. so i may find out what the previous owner done and what the actual fault was to get it sorted.
the sensors working, the valves working. the pump is working. it lifts and lowers. o just cant get any rx from the ecu to do anything else with the software.

You need a working delay relay without it there is no connection to diag.

The Delay relay goes into a socket behind the trim under the passenger seat.

No rx is bad comms, take the obd socket out and check for corrosion where the wires connect, I had that problema week or so ago, cannot remember the post title I used a set of welding nozzel files to clean the contacts .

In the search box top right, type eas unlock by me the thread should come up or look at previous pages I think itwas around May 25th

Did you look in the Landyone International Rescue page as there is a member in Chesterfeild with right diag might be worth an ask if he can help
@zzr1200

where do i find this please? not sen that page.
i think its worth a try. i do not know anyone in my area with anything to read diagnostics or help by faults.
everyone i know has the newer ones and pays the landrover garage in derby far to much for it. lol

i do think the laptop is communicating with the obd and eas on a way. i get pp messages but not what the videos showing reading ff values or anything else.
but i cant put ride values in and dont get any faults.
by checking faults all i get is 0

He may well pop in as i tagged him to the thread, He may not be able to help but worth a try as hands on help from some one who knows a p38 is a god send,
and once you have sorted out yours and learned its workings you will be helping others with knowledge you have gleamed:D
The Eas is not complicated once you get your head round the system.
