Ok, so I am one of those annoying people who hate "blank" switch positions in their dash.

So I purchased the manual low range switch to put in the blank position. It is purely there for show, nothing else!!!!

I have identified the wires in the next switch along that power the illumination (on the Cruise buttion) and the earth, and thus I want to tap this live (illumination) and earth to my new switch.

On the new switch, there are six pins.....does anyone know which of the six pins is the earth and illumination please???

Thanks...;)

Pins 3 and 6 on the Manual Transfer Switch as attached Connector diagram....

Remember the diagram shows the Connector and not the switch so you'll have to transpose the correct pins to the switch, if that makes sense...!!

Are there no extras that you might want switched from the dash? I fitted extra 55watt reversing lights (magic off-road in the dark especially as I have tinted windows) and have them wired through a small rocker switch mounted into a switch blank into the spare space.

I have an idea to put Datateks's fan overide to this switch!!

Well remember that the standard switches are momentary and trigger a circuit through the BECM. If you want to switch anything else you will need a two pole switch.

I recall seeing an Aussie who fitted switches that he wanted to look OEM, he placed a soft switch behind the OEM switch. It got momentary power from the OEM switch which translated into a constant on feed through the soft switch. Better than having random buttons glued all over the shop.

Nice!

You want a red one?

Is half the dash out job for a switch but if you want one for originality sake I can get it out once storms have passed.
I have one car with a red switch that i robbed from my scrapper, the other has the black switch which is nigh on invisible in the dark.
Don't go to any trouble, bear it in mind if you have to go into the dash. I have a spare black one on the shelf so easy for me.
