P38A Cruise Control gone for a cruise...

There's a hose that goes behind the engine, through the bulkhead to the brake pedal switch.
Mine had popped out and thought the brake pedal was always pressed so was permanently off

You don't need it in the air, unless you don't/can't kneel to get to the brake pedal
So it's INSIDE the car then? Had four ops on my back, both shoulders and elbows done, two ops on my stomach in last three years or so. Can bend down, but can't get to brake pedal. Been wanting to sort out an incredibly annoying squeek every time I use brake pedal since I bought her in Jan 2015! Thanks for info though.

It goes from the control module/bellows along the bulkhead engine side, then pokes thru into the top of the footwell and snakes down to the top of the pedal assembly
There actually 2 switches on the pedal, one for the lights and one for cruise. I'm not really sure what the cruise one does though, mines broke and i taped it up so it thinks the pedal is never pressed and cruise works fine and cuts off when the brake pedal is pressed! I never use cruise though
It's very hard to get to if it's in place!! Everything is in the way. It's got the rubber hose connected to it and also an electrical connector

Cheers Kermit! I'm planning on replacing driver side blend motor soon...no heat on "my side" is no joke. I can actually reach brake pedal, so I'll have a feel around armed with the info you've give me and see what I can suss out. Perhaps when I've removed what I need to get to blend motor, I'll have sufficient access to check/rectify cruise control too! Thanks again!

Good luck! With the kick panel off, of you squint, you can barely see the general area, hand in at the bottom (oooer missus!!) Then up and back towards you, if that makes sense
I've done that blend motor recently, obviously attacked previously because easy to get to and the repair was easy, getting it just right took some figuring out but simple once i figured it out!!

Thanks for the encouragement! Kick plate already off =~]

If your annoying squeak on the brake pedal is the same as mine you want a can of spray grease with a straw which will get you up to a metal spring on the pedal that is used to create the return pressure on the pedal (via a twisting, rather than extending, action).

Good luck with the cruise control, I'm still lacking the motivation to fix mine

Cheers for that useful nugget of info. Just bought an aerosol of white grease with long nozzle which I figured would be perfect! If that DOESN'T work, then earplugs it shall be!

Does the sqeek need spraying where spring attaches to pedal, or t'other end...or both?
