to save me taking mine out and losing oil
does anyone know the correct thread size of the ZF outbox filler plug please ?
Im looking to make an extension tube for filling the autobox as its a pain in the rear to do on your own
and I like to change to regularly

how are you going to know the level is correct, the earlier sump and dip stick tube is a direct swap

good question James,I know my 300 tdi Auto was allways hit and miss checking with the dipstick
Ive done the TD5 a few times now and I can never get out more than 4.5 L so I always put 4.5L back in
as I have access to free oil I alway change it when i change the engine oil
its just a pain to do on your own
so Im looking to make an extension filler tube which I can leave in place .which can be attached to a container with 4.5 l of oil it and i can let if fill on gravity while change gear inside the car
 
I believe it's an M16x1.5 thread.
I've got the dipstick and tube but need a good M16x1.5 adapter fitting to fit it on my Disco 2.
