Hi guys
Thinking of having this done on my 2008 RRS 2.7 been quoted £1300 supplied and fitted to get the coil spring conversion fitted.
Hearing alot of horror stories with the air suspension so thinking of changing it to eliminate any problems.
Thanks guys

The EAS is the least of the problems, plenty of electronics to go wrong. The EAS is one of the best features of Range Rovers IMO.

Welcome Aboard :)

If i knew the faults they come with and common issues id never of bought one to be honest my own fault for not reading reviews first.

Fair enough, but, as already mentioned the EAS is the least of your worries. Buy yourself some proper diagnostics and crack on. ( way less than £1300 , and no complications with insurance . SVA tests and C&U regs )

Or, if you can sell it and loose less than £1300 - then do so...:)

I think the talk of eas nightmares is a bit over egged.
Sure, if you have a poorly maintained vehicle then changing to coils is a quick and dirt fix but there's nothing inherently wrong with air

plus 1 , know when I bought mine the suspension was in a right mess, found the biggest issues were air leaks , worn out compressor , frayed wires

is the first landy I’ve had with air and must admit the ride quality is really nice , assume the rangies are even nicer

Although i aint had it long i wont be using it much as i got another vehicle so il stick with the air ride and just replace what needa doing. Iv always wanted a range rover i love the look of them.

hiya

there plenty of us here to always help , personally I think u would regret it converting it to coils and after all range rovers are renowned for there great ride quality

have u currently got any issues with ur suspension

if I may add the first thing would be to ensure the belts and oil pump cover has been done

Yes had both belts done and oil pump done very recently.
Yes the issue iv got is now and again the yellow light will come.on saying suspension fault and when i go to 50mph it flashes red tells me to drop my speed. If i stop and restart it then it stays off for a while but will come.back on eventually.
When i start it up the pump makes a loud buzzing noise for maybe 3 minutes id say then it stops.
Suspension dont drop overnight and all settings are working UNTIL YELLOW LIGHT COMES ON then can only have it in normal height only.
Thanks for the help seem like a nice bunch of guys.

Got to agree. The EAS is part of the vehicle. Any part can develop a fault. Is the answer to buy a vehicle and then take every part off that 'might' fail?
Might as well buy , an old Series III ;)

I get very little luck so reading the horror stories now iv got it the saying comes into mind prevention is better than cure but i got a feeling my pockets will go dry before i get anywhere near preventing what i read online

Then why not just fix what actually happens? We've all had our own horror stories but we haven't all had all the issues. Although some of us have had a damn good try.
If you want your pockets to go dry 'preventing' things, then just take your vehicle to nearest garage and ask them to fix everything that, has nothing wrong but might go wrong. Perhaps you need to stop reading about things that others have had to fix, and wait until you have something you need to fix. Otherwise you will find owning an L322 a very expensive lesson.
Whilst you're at it, stay well away from medical dictionaries ;)

Addit: prevention is about maintenance , and fixing faults immediately. Not looking for something to fix that isn't broken.

Best bet is to get some good diag for it if you want to keep it.

@Nightsman32 - there's a theme here ^^^^^ :)

Thanks for the help seem like a nice bunch of guys.

We are a decent bunch - of guys and girls ;) ....

Don't worry about your EAS, it genuinely is the least of your problems - and there are some absolute wizards on here with it :)

I get very little luck

Ah! - I know that one too :( - keep your chin up.....

For £1300 you could "realistically" with a few spanners and a diag give the EAS a good going over..

The difference between EAS and Springs in profound,
