We are all informed on regular basis how unreliable our beloved and hallowed Rangies are. I’ve often seen on flea bay RR with well over 200k on the clock and with current MOTs. So what’s your beauty done and let’s see who has the best mileage muncher out there. I’ll start off with my 02 4.4 E62 lump. 121k no major issues and still on original gearbox

Yes but those 200k RR Have had everything replacced!! ;)

Mine is on 125,562 original everything needs putting on the road.

My old manual Classic had 56k and my D2 has 190,678.

Funny when I read some threads, only on a RR forum is a car celebrated for making it over 100k lol

Know what you mean Henry just got rid of my 55 plate vrs Skoda with 155k on the clock and guys on britskoda were saying they haven’t changed clutches until over 175k.

Jesus I’ll stop worrying then, thought mine was creeping a little high

sorry just read what I wrote “stop worrying “ forgot I owned a Range Rover for a second :D:D

I have two P38 diesels, one on about 134K, the other on 167K. Neither use oil.
Track rod and drag link have been replaced on both, swivels on the higher mileage car which has had a hard life.
The lower mileage car has a gearbox fault, flaring on 2 to 3 shifts, down to a power box being fitted as far as I'm concerned. I have overhauled the EAS on both, done the O rings and replaced the exhausts and apart from consumables. that's it The low mileage one I have had for around 10 years, the other for just over 2.

Wow you like your high mileage L322s :p;):D
Like most things in life - look after them, service them regularly and fix things as preventative maintenance and they will last....

Mine needs VANOS doing and a new Secondary Air Pipe from pump to Vacuum Valve...plus while I'm there, replace the rear breather hoses as they are feeling soft now and the PCV valve (If the hoses are going soft, the PCV is likely on its way too) and then GB Oil change and the thing it is off the road for at the moment is rear suspension bushes need checking (doing that latter today actually - looking at them that is!).

So look after them and they can reach starship mileage!

211thou' with a saggy headliner that's stapled at the rear to leave a smooth roof....
The gearbox is slowly starting
to fall off the wagon...
She's an oil'o'holic but doesn't blow blue smoke and "DOESN'T" leak oil, contrary to popular landrover beliefs...and I don't know where it's going???:D
Unreliable it isn't..... Crap that's blown it:(;)

I've got one in the garage a 2008 TDV8 that needs new turbo's. ;) 78k lol.

My P38 needs a new VCU and tyres plus some paint and an interior makeover plus...

Some sensors and radius arm bushes. And shockers + airbags.

And new trans cooler lines.

Lpg parts too ;)

Throw some Lucas tranny fix in it. ;)

With all this "identifying as" nonsense going on is a "Mile-Muncher" just an euphemism for something else?
Like rug muncher?
It's got tranny fix in it enner's mate. There are a few more little noises and odder' behaviour than usual.
Tranny fix!
Mile muncher!
Rug muncher!

Saint V8

really would
Like to see someone actually taking on the vanos if you decide to do it if possible I wouldn’t mind offering a helping hand and seeing what’s involved
