Thursday,
Fixed a rotten brake pipe on drivers side front and while doing this I had to move some LPG pipes etc, undid the coolant tank to move it out of the way and snapped off the small stub off - mm, new one ordered.
Today,
Cleaned off some rusty parts under engine and around front of the chassis and found the chassis is very sound, bloody messy job.
Cleaned up the brakes and discs, pads like new and discs plenty of life in them.
Clean down with some brake cleaner next then slap some paint on tomorrow.

I added an oil catch can on my V8...

Had the dreaded three amigos up , not as bad as I thought it would be though. Fault read shuttle valve failure. Changed shuttle valve cleared fault. Now I await the next job.

Also pulled a Massey Ferguson 235 on a 30mi journey from My friends Farm to the scrapper.:oops:

Total weight was around 3.3 ton.:oops:

Pulled it well, until the end.

Had to engage low range 1st to pull it up the last steep incline :D

Didn't screw the converter which was nice :)

Disco found herself at the specialist to fix a broken Hub bearing and a few odds and sods!!

She is in good company though, a nice Lightweight waiting for restoration! ;)

a 2004 rova 25 which is missing 2 cylinders!

no power and a pretty bad misfire!! ;)

Dreading driving it back!! ;)

Broke the alternator.
Well, I didn't break it on purpose, it's just not working any more.
12.6v at the battery with the engine running or not.

I finally fixed my Disco 2’s Cruise Control (CC)!
I added LEDs to the brake lights 2 years ago which stops CC activation. This is due to low resistance from the LED bulbs which tricks the Hella CC unit sensing the brakes are on.

Soldered a 50watt/6ohm resistor in parallel to my left rear brake light wiring’s green/purple wires and the black ground wire. Then mounted it to metal to help disparate the resistor’s heat.

I had to do this same resistor mod for both of my LED indicators to stop the hyper flash.

Did an autobox oil and filter change, it now takes up drive immediately when you start in the morning rather than thinking about it for 5 secs or so before moving off. Oily but happy!
