Starting out is always the hardest part and the trouble is that only experience can teach you stuff and being the hobbyinsts that we are it's often a case of we just get the knack of doing something and then we move on to doing something else and don't use that new skill often enough to keep it sharp.

So are we referring to the pin in the door hinge that needs to be proud? Door was sagging like hell and caught the x member each time you opened it. Heavy wheel on the back
 
Me boot straps are in and the remainder of my boot floor is out. Also brushed up the boot door surrounds and painted. One of my rear cross member mounts is on the **** slightly. Hopefully this isn’t an issue. I’ll be ready for bootfloor very soon. :cool:
 
For the first time in over a year, the car doesn’t have a single axle stand under it. I needed a morale boost and also to tidy up so spent the afternoon bolting it back up. Everything lined up and went together nicely apart from trying to install the wrong bushes for a full hour last night :rolleyes:

Bit bored of welding at the moment so I filled the rear of chassis and body with 2 tins of dynax which goes on very well and sticks, even to verticals.
Torqued up all suspension bolts (176nm) is quite a hard to do in some places but all done. Whipped off rear prop. Cleaned it right up and painted. UJ has no play in.I also fitted drive shafts. Paper gaskets looked pretty rubbish so just used hylomar. I have a bit of play in rh drive shaft but don’t know how much is acceptable?
