Ex Army 110 Trailer wiring

Hi

I've just bought an ex-army 110 on ebay. It has a NATO hitch and what I assume is a matching trailer-lighting socket.

The hitch is coming off in favour of something useful, will one of these TRAILER TOWING ELECTRICS 13 PIN CAR TO 7 PIN ADAPTOR on eBay, also Mobile Touring Caravan Parts, Caravan Parts, Campers, Caravans Motorhomes, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 04-Feb-08 21:55:32 GMT) be a fix for the wiring or do I need to re-do it with a 7-pin plug.

Looking at some other adaptors on ebay the pattern of the pins looks a little different to whats on my new toy.

The converter is for the current continental pattern 13 pin sockets (presumably they eliminate the need for 2 sockets, but I am sure they are totally different from the NATO 13 pin your trailer will have.

And lol at the above, the adapter would've made it simpler, and retained the original socket should I need it, but it's not exactly rocket science to re-wire is it? ;)

No yer rite it aint "rocket science" but seein how yer feel the need to buy an adapter an yer too greedy to offer sell the hitch to someone on here yer obvious not too feckin bright eh!:rolleyes:

Think I covered why I was looking for an adapter, and you even quoted it.

No offence, but you seem more of a miserable **** here. As far as I'm concerned, the NATO hitch is a pile of ****, and I'd rather it go to someone anonymous through ebay that I'll never see again, than to someone on here

I'm sure you'll find one mondo

The folks i'v meet on here are genuine sorts and do other landy owners favours, Yer know. pass on stuff they dont need for sensible prices, do jobs fer one another.

No ones tryin ter screw anyone.. Mondo wants a hitch. You've got one yu want shot of. He will buy it off you. That's not rocket science either! Tell him wot you want for it. If he agrees, job jobbed. Int it???
 
Hey Mondo,

You can have that NATO hitch that you saw on my bench for nowt.
I got it working now. It was "a bit stuck".

Shaun the Sheep-Shagger is a miserable git ....

I got two new anti-rotation lock pins for it from Dixon-Bate too.
