well after selling my d2 back in may, ive upgraded to an absaloute reliable, economic, nice to drive modern but impractical for my use HILUX, so ive just bought a 04 discovery, 7 seater with the sprinkler system installed, on d3 wheels, bit tatty here and there, solid chassis, 180k manual 11 months ticket, service history er think that’s bye the bye, but wait for it, no clutch, so tomoz it will do the same mpg as the HILUX, as it will be trailered home, then my bank account will get back to normal service buying d2 parts and other stuff to get this as a practical mode of transportation for our needs, lol.ps anybody wanna a HILUX in june as I might have one spare, :)

Welcome back, hope the clutch swap goes noce & smooth - hope you havent sold your angle grinder/penetrating oil / blow torch / bolt extractors - get them back out the garage & re-join the Disco baby!

Got any dastardly plans, or just get back on the road for now?

Got underneath it today, looked at slave, Ok! found peices of clutch in bits so gonna be box out, new Velo clutch going in, DMF, spigot and release bearing, oil all over rear of engine so cam seal too, watts linkage fooked so another job, chassis is top notch, inner wings are a bit rusty but nothing a wire brush and plenty of paint where liners and mud has sat,
