Hi,
Does anyone know the make or type of adhesive used to hold the plastic covers on the wheel arches of a P38. I am assuming they were an option and mine need to come off to do some paintwork.
Cheers

I'm assuming they are held on with tiger seal body mastic.

Quite strong stuff and a pain in the arse to remove!!

If you damage them, wheel arch extensions STC8514 are no longer available from Land rover. But can be found by searching about, mostly after market stuff. Adhesive for reattachment is STC50551.

Here's mine with the County pack......

The County Pack shouldn't be confused with the County Spec....

In Late 1998 for the 99 model year, they introduced the County Spec vehicle which was a step up from the entry level spec.

The County Pack is literally just the black wheel arch extensions.....nothing more!

Mine being a diesel '97 just had the wheel arch spats back and front and mud guards on the fronts only. No side steps. But spots (if that is an extra.) First, I need to take off the spats to do some "bubbly" paintwork on the arches ( and the need to get them back on again), but mega interested if someone has an idea what I have here regards model or extras and someone's options in the past. No badge on the back so can't tell.

Is it manual or auto? If it's manual no probs, if it's auto it should not have spots fitted unless the N/S bumper cover has been vented. ;)

It's a manual, but always seemed odd to have mudflaps just at the front and not the back. So always wondered if they were put on just by a previous owner.

Rear mud flaps single exhaust are STC8536. Rear mudflaps twin exhaust are STC7703. But you really won't want to know how much they cost from Land rover. Do a search for after market stuff, maybe cheaper.
