Does anybody know what this thread is? It's on the radiator fill / balance pipe, coming from the header tank. The rad is from a Disco, and none of my various pipe fittings fits. The local plumber shop can't help either. It seems not to be BSP. I need to fit a new bit of tube, but don't want to upset anything until I know I can get a replacement if needed.

never seen that set up on a rad,

14mm could possibly be 9/16" which could make the fitting an old-style 1/4 clutch pipe male end with an olive fitted.
The pipe is easily available as are the ends. However, I would beg or borrow a flaring tool to make off the end rather than fit an olive.

The larger thread is 1/2"BSP, so tomorrow I will be drilling and tapping the brass adaptor to BSP, which means I will be able to use a 90 degree bend and hose adaptor I have to hand. Problem solved, thanks to everyone who responded.
