Last week the steering on the old girl went very solid ( like a slipping belt ), seemed to get a bit better, but still on the heavy side. I’ve also noticed an engine braking effect whilst coasting and a reluctance to get up to speed. Can a duff pump cause enough restriction to slow the engine down via the main belt?
Belts are in good nick and at correct tension, fluid level is fine, steering UJs are all good and no leaks from the pump. 200tdi Disco engine.
