I'll have another play with the turbo tomorrow I have checked it for play but I never payed much attention to how well it spins freely,I have looked in the top of the pump where the boost diaphragm is but again just opened it had a quick look inside and looked clean as a whistle so put it straight back in the same place so ill squirt some wd40 or silicone spray in there.I've recently put a reconditioned turbo on my 300Tdi. I complained about it and the company replaced it. The first one got up to about 0.7bar when I was thrashing it up a decent incline. It's response, when driving, was very slow. When you put your finger in it and spun the blades it would only spin about half a turn. I never thought anything of that until I got the replacement. The blades in the second one would do a few revolutions before stopping. I thought hmmmm............. This one boosts up to 0.8-0.9 under the same load. The Landy accellerates and puls much better and the response to the loud pedal is much sharper. My boost gauge is plumbed in to the back of the inlet manifold.
The trouble is I've got nothing to compare it against,it's the only landy I've ever driven and I've owned it for 5 years lol and it's always been like it, I just put it down to being a bit old and slow,I'm abit reluctant to start messing with the fuel pump adjustments until I can get it near to what it should be,im 99%sure the pump is standard, still got the anti tamper cap over the fuel adjuster, and there's only one score mark on the boost pin,I'll report back, thanks for all the info so far,
I saw that YouTube video the other day fast as f**k
