Interested to know if anyone had a go at spraying interior door cards in a Defender?

I have light grey ones and fancy changing to black, not sure what the plastic is and what type of paint to use, will most likely use a rattle can if I can get away with it etc.

Any advice welcomed!

I've read someone on here who has painted theirs. Can't remember who, on account of my age.

I sprayed my old grey ones black but the paint didnt last too long!

Have a look at Buzzwelds PIO, I sprayed a few bits with it came out very well! The finish is very matt and hard wearing so great for door cards! Plus also acts like a brilliant primer should you want a different colour or a "lighter" black.

Make sure you properly clean and degrease before you spray!

HA! thats why I was asking, I could imagine a grey worn bit showing through in a few weeks where my legs hits it.

To be fair I am tall so I look like a tyrannosaurus rex stuck in a phone box when I drive in my Landy! :)

Painting is not my thing, so forgive me (Electrics and Mechanics is my thing!).

can I use brake cleaner to de grease?, or do I need some nasty chemical and some of those paint sprayers tissues (panel wipes!)

I refurbished my black ones with Kiwi black boot polish, rubbed in well and buffed up followed with Glade furniture spray polish. Doubt it would dye the grey ones but worked a good trick for my black ones.
