During a headgasket change 18 months ago I changed the glowplugs with brand new Delphi plugs.
After cold start problems when the temperature has come down the last month I decided to check the plugs. 3 plugs of the 6 were dead. Measured and tested with 12v, no resistance and no visual damage.
Luckily I still had some old Beru plugs lying around. A quick swap and the motor is starting on the first rev.

Anybody with some similar experience with the Delphi plugs?

Just change whats bad... then you wont feel the sting so much, or put new in and keep the good ones back

Use only BERU for this engine, they heat up much faster than bosch junk.
Genuine ones are BERU.

Just finished putting Beru on mine and what a difference. One cycle of the glows and the starter barely moved before she caught and ran, and that's after sitting on the drive for over a week without moving and it is bl**dy freezing out there!

I haven't got a clue what makes fitted to mine as they were in the car when I got it 10 years ago my, might be about time to find out but not quite at the moment as still not allowed to do anything I am getting very very bored:(

Probably Beru from Land Rover. I won't be putting anything else in mine if they last as long as the last lot.

Just put this up on another thread but putting a copy here for when people search.

The part number for the Eurocarparts website is 438110135 (RR P38A, M51 engine). £16.49 each before the discount code is applied. If you haven't got a discount code, get one! Normally there's one for the weekend. Failing that ring them up and they'll sort you out. With discount they're £66 the set.

The Land Rover part number is STC3103.

On the Beru website they show as GN013. http://beru.federalmogul.com/en-gb/e-catalogue/vehicle
