FYI,

@biggeeeee , which year did that write up come from? as interestingly the speed is different in the 02 MY owners manual.
Sections from the manual.

Cheers

@neilly

2001MY 2nd Edition RAVE
Nothing re the compass in the Owners Handbook in that version of RAVE.
Interestingly I have the compass fitted to my 2001 Discovery (never needed to calibrate it, mind you)

Hi @tmjl

Southern Spain is either zone 9 or 10 . Have you got the owners manual?
There is a full description of how to do it in there.

Cheers
dear Neilly, thank you but first in my owners manual there is no list of the 15 regions and which one is for spain. in the repair manual all i get is the usual stuff of driving around in circles slowly...etc, etc. the "c" does not go away and i need to know if anybody was able to look at the circuit board or the magnet itself housed in the stem of the mirror.

Hi Thomas,

Sorry I have never looked at the circuit board, the only info I have is what is in a copy of the owners manual which I have downloaded and is in the attachment above.

Have you changed the zone to the correct one? Also as you can read the two attachments from myself and @biggeeeee show different speeds for the driving in a circle

Cheers.

yes Cheers, i did drive in circles around a round about here to the amazment of some people looking on. i do have the same remark on calibration you posted in my big fat owners manual but never ever did i find anything on which zone corresponds to which number let alone a map. i would hate to replace the mirror simply because one little tiny ítem on the circuit board or else is not attended to. there most be a way...
