My wife's freelander has some bearing noise which seems to get a bit louder under deceleration (ie engine breaking, not braking).
I've dropped the props and VCU off and the noise is still there - appears to be coming from the front.
Is this likely to be a wheel bearing (I honestly cant notice it being more from one side or the other)?
What else could make this kind of rubbing noise?
Oil was changed a few days ago. It's a manual box, I've not yet attempted to check/change the gearbox or IRD oil levels.
