I lived in Kent for a lot of years and over the past 17 of those years used a local garage to do all my MOT's, varying between 3 and 4 vehicles a year (cars and bikes). Built up a great rapport with the lads who did the testing and I was always sure they would do an honest job and if they found anything it would be genuine - only one fail in about 50+ tests, and on something I would never have found. Earlier this year I moved back up to Lincolnshire and hoped I could find another testing station with the same ethos. Took the wifes car in August to a local garage in the village, passed ok and asked if they would do a defender and how would they test the brakes? Got the right answers so booked it in there and then, took it in today and yippee pass and no advisories.
