Bloody thing failed test rotted inner sills and a bit inside when you open the door been thinking of getting rid, its done 17000 mls but after looking on website's mine has medium mileage lots have 22500 and want thousands for them, Also the SRS lights stays on. is it worth having it welded can you buy inner sill panels, and how much is it worth with no MOT.
Regards.

Maybe 450 without mot. If you're lucky. Probably more like 400.

I paid 320 for my mot failure one.

Disco is never going to worth keeping if you're having to pay for welding each mot time.

yes you can buy inner & outer sill panels, not
too expensive either,i did mine on the disco
300tdi,got them off of fleabay pretty easy job,
if you get some welded on dont put the plastic
trim back on it only causes rust where the pins
(plastic) slot through to hold them on,SRS light
is NOT an mot failure if constantly on,check the
government rules about it, it clearly states its not
a failure.

Thanks guys been out looking for lower mileage but silly money wanted for some, been looking at TD5 but they dont seem to have a good report and a lot more expensive on parts. I know this is going against the grain on here but I looked at Nissan Terrano's and HyundiTerracan i'll have to find out how much the welding will coso t to help make up my mind, also looked at a jeep but the price of parts on all of the cars I have mentioned are rediculouse, please feel free to comment on any thing I've said I need all the help I can get,LOL

ask about there's bound to be "some guy" (or girl :D) near you that would help out with some cheap welding. there's always someone somewhere that will be happy to help for nothing more than the cost of materials and maybe a nice cup of tea or coffee from time to time. and most important a THANK YOU when there done :) garages always charge silly money for welding. well good luck getting it all done. im having my own little battles with my new disco haha
