Just thinking about best place to mount a Nautilus Air Horn. Seen three potential locations.

In front of radiator and behind grill mounted via a bracket to either one of the struts at to the side bulkhead (picture one). Will it get too hot for the wiring down there by the rad..?

Picture two, tucked in behind the water bottle and kind of behind the off-side headlight.

Picture three, quite right but tucked in underneath near side wing. Could be easiest place for routing the wiring...

I've read the horn works best with air-flow from forward motion which makes behind the front grill favourite but just concerned about the heat.

Any thoughts anybody?

Before you think about fitting any more cosmetic non essential parts maybe cleaning up the rads would be a good idea. :D:D:D

I think if your rad gets hot enough to melt wires and plastics then the rest of the landrover is probably on fire, or soon will be.

Behind grille imo, that's where the original horn is

So obvious you felt the need to clarify yourself without being asked :p:p

You're right though, could do with some fettling :)

Think i was asked in a roundabout way, when i think the OP misunderstood the clean up comment. Said something about his butler. Maybe his butler fettles radiators. But can't be arsed re reading to find out. ;):D:D
