Purchased this a few weeks back

It's been off the road since the end of 2010
Since getting it back to mine it's just been a case of cleaning bits up and sorting little jobs
It's now Mot'd, I've got a few bits to sort in the advisories which are in progress

Started hoovering the interior out

New battery was left to die, so a slow trickle charge sorted that

Our little helper likes it, the misses doesn't

Interior came up ok
But the seat covers still looked grubby in areas

It's now a much nicer place to be
Roof lining retrim planned soon

A little detailing session next

Still undecided on the bumpers
May treat them with some bumper gel, or may paint them with textured bumper paint and re satin black metal parts

This was a friends car so I know it's a genuine 85k'er

Alittle history

Fitted a new thermostat, and bleed screw

Also done a Egr delete

peanut butter - smooth :)
that's just the oil in the peanuts isn't it. it'll lick off

Nearly back together today
Another 20 mins in the morning should have it running again

Looks like the p gasket was leaking
Water pump bearing were shot
Spent a good hour cleaning gasket faces up
Even blocked them flat with 2000 grit just to make sure ( sorry no pics )

Water pump etc back on

Just pulleys, belt, hoses and coolant to do

Taxed and insured this evening
Been to see the parents tonight in it
Wow!!!
It drives so well, it has heaters now... I thought the headlights would be awful coming from a newer car
But they seem surprising good for the era of the car
Really can't wait to sort the headlining
I may have to put a auxiliary belt on it, as its perished and alittle squeaky which is acceptable for this old bus but it'll be much nicer without the squeaking
I'll try grab one tomorrow from our local parts place

Put 85 miles on it today...
All seems well considering the amount of time it's been off the road...
Picked a belt up today
Tensioner seems seized, can't get the belt over...
So will pick a replacement up next week

Today's job after work was remove rear bumper and refurb it
Only a quick job but looks a lot better
Rear bumper caps have been heat gun'd and treated with a few coats of bumper gel

Metal centre piece has been hammered straight, a skim of filler, primed and satin black'd

I've just bolted the bumper back on without end caps
Will fit them plus lights tomorrow and grab some pics

2 out of 6 bolts snapped which delayed finishing this evening

Fitted rebuilt rear bumper back on today
End caps all treated
Still front metal bumper to repaint but it's looking a lot better
Really freshened it up

Front end looking a lot better

Picked up a new auxiliary belt earlier on aswell, the belt tensioner won't budge so old belt put back on for a few more days. New tensioner on its way...

Tensioner arrived today
Also visited our local trim shop for replacement material for my headlining

This will really finish the interior off nicely
