Is the crank position sensor like the MAF where is better to buy original rather than aftermarket? Given the price difference between the two I thought I'd ask first

Go OEM... Not worth the hassle to keep replacing it ...

Dammit, I knew someone would say that Was hoping to hear that the aftermarket ones were just as good as I'm on a budget at the moment after buying new clutch and flywheel.

GENUINE only on that one, i've seen aftermarket which didnt work well from new

Genuine only, It's the only thing that will stop a TD5 working properly. Got mine from here for a hefty discount, infact 4x cheaper than the Dealer and 3x cheaper than my other 4x4 Garage.

I fitted a small nitrile o-ring on as well help seal out the muck etc..

Just got an OEM from intermotor to keep as a spare. Also, dont forget to order the spacer (nsj000010)

Is this a part you can feel / measure to know it is going wrong or is on the way to failure? Do you get a warning it is going to fail?
