Been having a play with my 2003 L322 and decided to use the AV in on my Digital TV box.
Its one of those £200 ebay jobs that plugs into the factory analogue TV unit and receives freeview via the factory AV setting.
Anyhows, I have an android TV box in my house that runs of 5 volts so I decided to buy a power adapter for my car and give it a go in the Rangey.
Result: FAIL (note the bold and underline just to demonstrate how badly)
The picture is terrible and the is a buzz and a hiss in the audio soooo...................
1. Can I replace the factory display (just the display screen, not the unit) with a TFT/LCD thingy
2. Is there another way of getting the audio so I don't have to turn the volume up and can get stereo sound (and have the subwoofer working) without hissing and buzzing.
Are there boxes/adapter (or whatever they're being called nowadays) like the dice mediabridge or intravee that do AV that could fix all the above without replacing the display or should I just accept that the factory system is ****e and give up (don't want to lose my info screen, MPG, miles left in tank etc).
Few pics:
Thanks.
