Hi my 96 p38 dse auto. i have a slight rattle when cold at approx 1200rpm. iv never had an aircon belt fitted tensiner is seized solid. But looking today and the aircon pully is loose/wobbling about. Any other ill effects not having an aircon belt apart from no aircon?

Good well for now anyway Just done a aircon pully and bearing on a tdv6 d3 assume these are not too different

Almost identical i would think. Tensioner is easy enough to change, just flick off the plastic cover to get at the bolt that holds it in place. You will need an Allen key to apply tension to the belt then tighten the bolt, simple really.

Spot on as always wammers. il have to wedge something rubbery in for a few weeks to stop the rattle.

If you have a torque wrench it's 8 nm on the Allen key on a new belt and 6 nm on a used belt.

Iv got a nice little cute one that does down to 6nm. New belt. Ac pully and tensioner jobby
