Registration should be just that, if there's a software code or product code to enter before use do that and u should be up and running., although it's a product I'm not familiar with...

I was advised by craddocks that this was the one to go for as it could be used on all land rovers and jaguars but it seems to want to lock it to one vehicle model, it may be that once it goes past the registration, the it will allow me access to the other vehicles but at this point I think I have to wait for the company to get back to me with an unlock code.
Best drain the axle oil this weekend then. Was hoping to get the three amigos sorted out.

If you bought the "Single Vehicle (Home User) DA6430" you'll have to wait the unlock code then you can unlock it for one vehicle modell at your choice e.g. Discovery 2, then if you want more vehicles you'll have to buy "Additional Unlock Code DA6434", one for each additional modell, e.g Discovery 1, or Range Rover P38 or Freelander 1, etc... if you bought the Unlocked (Professional User) DA6431 multivehicle version you should be able to use it instantly on all

Simple answer YES UNIT IS ACTIVE AS SOON AS YOU ENTER THE UNLOCK CODE let me explain and clarify
I purchased this item about 18 months ago it was supposedly the BEST UNIT for diagnosing any land-rover fault.
However when you buy this model it is supplied with “ ONE MODEL CODE “ ie defender , or discovery, or Range Rover ,etc . I purchased the Freelander 1 model ( this was my car at the time. The model code covered “ ALL FREELANDER 1 “ models including petrol or diesel . I later bought a FREELANDER 2 and now have to purchase another “ MODEL CODE “ these are about £175.00 “ for EACH MODEL so to do all Landrover models you have to buy EVERY MODEL CODE or purchase a “ PROFESSIONAL UNLOCK CODE “ for £1000.00 ( mainly for garages etc. BEWARE THESE UNITS ARE NOW OBSOLETE as Britpart have sperceeded this model with the new
LINX EVO. which operates mainly on your phone ? Search on YOU TUBE and watch the demos.

As a landrover owner and true enthusiast I feel cheated that the first model was discontinued so quickly after launch yet the additional unlock codes are STILL VERY EXPENSIVE £175.00 each model

a Foxwell covers ALL Landrover and Jaguar models, up to a certain year, (2017) and costs little more than one single unlock code, and mine DID help me sort out the 3 amigos.

It is an old thread. The original lynx was very good but I have heard bad things about the evo.
