I got 2 new keys from the main dealer and had the same problems, the computer system in the car had been swapped out for a replacement.
I had to take the car to Richard at Callrova

Unfortunately it was the only solution I had open to me.
Give Richard a call and he will advise you and give you the cost of the reprogramming etc, he is based in the Brighton area and fixes it while you wait
I did try all the key combos etc but you may have the same issue, apparently it's quite common, mine is a 2001
