Thought I'd got the AC working after replacing one of the relays, turns out I hadn't, compressor still not kicking in reliably.

Got the compressor to work by shorting the black/yellow & white/green wires on the tri switch. Pipes got cold and cold air into the cabin, not exactly arctic cold though.

So I'm thinking either the switch is not working or the pressure in the system is too low.

Went to kwik fit for a pressure check and the first thing the guy noticed was gas escaping from the high pressure re-fill valve! (also pressure was low, unsurprisingly)

I can't for the life of me find anyone who sells replacement valves though, can anyone point me in the right direction?

emoose - did you ever find the solution to this?

I now have the exact same problem, a charge leaks out over 3 - 4 weeks, had it charged with nitrogen and UV dye and it's a slow leak from the high pressure port.

The first link doesn't work and the second one does but isn't the part.

I've spoken to Autokool and they don't have a searchable database that cross references by vehicle. I'm only 6 miles from their head office so I'll nip over next week for them to have a look, but if there's a part number or a relevant type/size to quote, that would make it much easier . . .
THX in advance.
