rad replacement instructions

im looking for instructions or a tutorial to change over 300tdi rad and if i need to fix anything else by default by doing it

thanks Station House i had a look but im to tierd to digest info
ive been at wickerman festival near dumfries and sitting here at work nearly sleeping
it was heavy going
i was hoping for a photo type thread with tools required etc so i can just go and collect and do it
in fact i want put a match to it thats how i feel today

You might need to register to view the photos (free if you do) but from a quick look guide seems to give what you wanted

Not done a 300,yet! But my 200 was very straight forward. Just try and save fluid when draining or make sure you have the correct dilution of antifreeze when you top it up and bleed it properly.

i doubt theres any fluid left

As far as I remember, 2 top brackets left and right, top and bottom hoses right hand side. and 2 oil cooler pipes on the left along with the expansion pipe. Simples.

Can i take out rad without removing intercooler?

Believe me it's much easier to remove the rad and intercooler as one unit. Disassemble and reassemble when they're on the ground.

You can also give intercooler a good wash out as well.

Old rad out new rad in,new bottom hose
Plumbed in filled bled left to run with expansion cap off and every minute or so water spurts up
