Hi, not sure if anyone local who can help?

I've just had a button soldered back on my key fob for my 97 300tdi
Struggling to get hold of the guy who did the repair.
My keyfob has lost all sync with the car and will not disable the immobiliser.

Is there anyone who can come and programme my fob close to Rochdale? I can pick you up in my van if local?

For cheap/beer tokens?
Or if it's a service I need to pay for I can do so.

Please help car is stuck and cannot start.

Thanks in advance!

Well outside my (tiny) field of knowledge but think you can re-sync....something along these lines

Pressing the battery would not resolve a battery problem!
You'll probably find the soldered connections on the PCB where the battery carrier is connected have broken and need re soldering as when you press the battery this is making the contacts connect again!
Re-solder the connections then press both buttons several time and it should re-sync, if not disconnect the vehicle battery for 10 mins and repeat pressing the remote buttons!
Hope that helps!

Or maybe....

Starting with the fob and assuming it isn't faulty should have a good quality battery fitted, to resync the fob to the system press the lock button a lease 4 times and you will find the central locking system will lock/unlock. Fobs can go faulty and loose their tuning but can be refurbed. Key Fob Reconditioning

To remobilise the engine the fob should be near the ignition switch and will unless you have a problem with the immobiliser 'spider' and if there is, the spider can be bypassed.

B/B - although not rocket science, and commonish knowledge - can I suggest we remove Yellow90's helpful posts on how to steal, errm, i mean disable the immobiliser on a landy from the forum? Such information might be best kept to PM's?

still no response from Colin or Lewis?

I'm here! If Im willing to help if there's anything I can do, no knowledge of landy immobilisers though. Have got a snapon ethos not sure if it will code fob though. If nothing else I know a couple of local garages who may be able to do it.
