Hi Guys
hello form the land of chocolate and waffles
i am a avid 4x4 guy and have had a
g 230 '87 for 4 years
now with paj 2,5 td swb '92 that i got for a song and rebuilt the chassis rails and arches
now rather ok( of course not a lr !! )
saw a sad looking p38 2,5 5 cyl from late 90s in a nissan dealers yard
been there ca 2 years
170k km ca 100km mi only street use
1 owner
price will be ca 1500 eur
engine ok
trans ok
clutch ok
brakes ok
tyres 80 pct
air suspension ok
no looseness in suspension joints
no rust
window/ lights / locking ok
hvac u/s no display or control
glove compartment will not fully latch ( hangs down 2 cm )
headliner fabric detached and hanging
interior ok, just regular use wear, gear**** gaiter needs to replace
body paint ok
i do my own mechanic-ing and usually use parts form breakers

the point is to use it for mainly offroad and short onroad to get offroad

questions
1 am i being foolish / risky
2 whats the deal to get the hvac display and actuators working and for how long between failures ?

look forward to your news

If it's P38 diesel with five cylinders don't bother, it should have six. Mind you lots of P38 V8s run on five cylinders most of the time. :D:D
