electric windows and lighting

hi after some advice got a disco 96 mk1, all of a sudden the lights aronnd the auto box which show what your in ie p, n, r, etc have stopped working and also the electric windows in the rear have stopped working.
any help and advice would be appreciated

check yer fuses and yer bulb around yer gearstick

It's a disco, that sort of thing's supposed to happen isn't it?
