How well protected are the ECM units?

I was removing the lid and dropped a screw driver and it bridged the + to the body of the ECM can see a very light burn on the metal

Now engine will not start, is it fried?

Nanocom will sort it. New one just needs reading and security code writing to BECM. (Syncing).

Ok will give you a shout once bought a new one if I can't figure it out

Thanks Tony

Ps: changed crank sensor and was a little better when cold but once warm was the same erratic idle and cuts out, so thinking deffo FIP issue

Thanks

I suspect I may have damp as the drivers side mat was wet and the passenger side was dry :-/ been off the road and not used for a while now so either rain (was heavy here yesterday) or o-rings (joy)

Will have to get under the seat and have a look :-(
