My Disco's left hand light cluster (on the bumper), hasn't been working for a few weeks. It's no big deal because the larger indicator still flashes higher up. It's just anoying because it's running much quicker than the other side.

I have checked and cleaned the connector just above the exhaust which has had no effect, and the fuses are fine so are there any common faults that can cause this, before I start fault finding properly?

PS it's a 300tdi 96, and the reversing light is also only working when you hold the gear lever right back. Cheers

Check the earthing of the bulb holder ... have you tried a different bulb holder in the fitting ?

Re Reversing light - The R380 gearbox revwersing switch seems to not be adjustable. It is also a bitch to get to with the box in situ. Sounds like problems inside the box, if it is anything like mine .

As stated above, perhaps u should get a meter and look at the wiring diagram to trace you fault and don't guess, I assume the lamps in the body lamp unit above are no working either, if u had to check the fuse.
There are no common faults that can cause you issue, in fact D1s electrics must be reliable as I've only replaced my head lamp bulbs (upgrade) an a faulty stop-tail bulb twice in 16 years.
