Looking at seals for transfer box, only need the one as its a nice dry box.

I want to replace the seal that the output shaft from the gearbox goes through, is it called an input shaft seal or a mainshaft seal please

appreciate the information so as I get the correct one:)

it is ivc100000 good idea to lightly smear outer side of seal where it locates in box

Thanks I will, the old one was weeping slightly but not leaking, I'll put new one on with the R380
No oil leaks expected then:)

it is when its used for the t/box but same seal is used as rear mainshaft seal on an lt77 and lt85 hence some use that name

That part number is for an LT77 but is it the seal on the transfer box or gearbox that you want changing?

Its for the transfer box, just bought a full set of seals and gaskets cheap enough so can replace anything that looks dodgy.

Just hope that the 'brilliant' gearbox that I bought is all that the man said it was, some people think that because it runs and the gears change then its a good gearbox:rolleyes:

Time will tell, not swapping it for a bit yet just dont have the time:)
