Plan for this week then…….which I'm going to attempt to keep to

Monday get indy to strip box, order gearbox parts through indy plus a defender pedal for accelerator, pick up new gearbox mounting crossmember
Tuesday collect parts if arrived if not weds, fit rad, wire in electric fan, rivet in more tub repair panels and possibly collect gearbox adaptor plate
Wednesday collect parts, assemble box, attempt to turn down a new spigot bush on lathe
Thursday re do clutch with new bush and try to fit gearbox and transfer if theres time
Friday finish fitting gearbox and transfer if I haven't already then weld in the new mounts
Saturday fit accelerator pedal and hopefully my fuel unions will have turned up by then too so I can finish off the swirl pot and mount it in the rear tub
Sunday fill rad and bleed the system I suppose

Gotta get a shift on now! With this gearbox I can fit a standard prop so I'll be able to run it :D

Gotta toughen up the seatbox again week after as well as a mount to the chassis but the rest is now solid thanks to many ally panels and a few rivets plus M4 bolts!

Are there any Bookies out there:rolleyes:

Again fcuk off if you've got nothing better to do than try and troll, surely you must have something better to do with your life than failing to be funny on a forum of which you don't even own the vehicle for  unless your life really is that empty.....in which case I suppose I'd have to try and feel some kind of pity for you

I just remember the first list 6 hrs and will be running:rolleyes:from 2 years ago

You can sure give out the stick to newbies and others but can not take it. You need to be able to do both.

If you're going to try and be an arse at least get your facts right…….looks like american education doesn't extend into basic maths or the length of a year

I can take stick I just have no intention of taking it from someone I have no respect for

Ok onto today……other than getting the collar pulled and ordering the gearbox bits heres the rest!

One new recovery point……..this is the NATO 7.6t pintle, so more than suitable!

Two cubby boxes I acquired but have no use for so they'll be up for grabs soon enough

One mud stuff dash with wiring and carling switches :D the flip toggles will keep me amused for a while :D

One set of gauges

Three free pairs of very nice Record Stilsons!

A Record vice again free

Screw jack

Copper and graphite grease!

Ignition button starts plus a rather beefy recovery point, again free :D

Many free relays!

A set of idiot lights and a whole load of switches plus wiring

One free cross drilled LT230 input gear :D very handy!

More free cable ties than any normal person should need and some brand new jate rings too :D

And finally a home made wiring loom with switch panel that will be used for lights, washers, aux lights, air horn and more or less anything else I fancy seeing as theres a good few relays not being used.
Everything is fused too so it's nice and safe :)

gearbox dismantled, will take it in to the garage to get the layshaft but loosened up when the new pinion arrives

Change of plan on pinion though wont be turning up a new spigot bush that'll be going in to the workshop to get ground down to V8 size makes life a lot easier then

Gearbox parts arrived today! Thats a good delivery service for £10.50  ordered them yesterday about 2pm and I'm up in Cumbria they're in Luton!

I'll take some pics and put them up in a bit. Wont be able to assemble it until next week though :( the engineering shop cant grind the pinion for me until Friday so dropping it off then and picking up again on Monday :D

Got the wiring issue sorted out though and started doing some cardboard engineering for the seatbox and tunnel :D

Here we go :D

Stumpy Vs Long

They do like to make everything a little fancy  but theres some real nice machining on the face!

The small box of goodies :D

Inside it we find a stumpy release bearing, front cover and pivot point

Then of course……..the pinion!
