For the last couple of weeks ive been looking to buy a new to me landy.

ive been looking for a land rover 90 td5 csw around the 1999 2001 era, but there seems a distinct lack of them available.

Ive been checking the common auction sites and autotrader but not many about and what do appear seem very expensive compared to newer models why is this?

i have cash waiting but cant find anything to buy lol

I think 90 Station Wagons are probably the rarest of all the Land Rover variants I see about.

Im after a mk5 golf GTI but i want a good one(one lady owner, low miles, service history etc) ive been tempted to spend the money a couple of times now.

Why is that? I thought before march 2001 the tax was the same on all, 2001 the rules changed.

My wife has a mk4 golf r32 in indigo blue, only 77 made in that colour but she can and does every now and again drive it hard

csw's are in demand to get inside the LEZ too

People prefer the earlier TD5's as they were less electronic than later defenders, it seems later vehicles are less in demand although personally I love driving later defenders, they are so much more refined and the later dash is a lot nicer... Think if I was buying though I would still go TD5...
