The diffs a 4.09 :( but on the plus side I'm all sorted for picking up the series!

Got some ratchet straps, hooked up the sankey to put the spare gearboxes in


Anyway found a supplier of 3.54 axles but they're £200 to £300 for the complete set up (do come with the mega sized brakes though!) so I'm contemplating picking one up and having a play with it.
Going to plug some dimensions into CAD later and see what I can come up with :)
 
Pics are coming, done a little bit bolting the tub onto the outriggers but had to stop. Need to get some 2mm plate and make up some repair panels to rivet in. Too much corrosion on the mounts so it isn't strong enough.

Decided I'm going to get a handbrake lever from one of the discoveries being broken too as it'll make life easier then mount it to the top of the transfer box using a bit of folded plate

Prop angle is also 37* so as I'm not wanting to pay £600 for a prop I'll be making up a new axle
 
just wrong spats on a series should be illegal!!

Last owner put them on, I've already broken two off just moving it about……


Putting on some nice angled ones I'm making up, will look right and I kinda have to now seeing as the ****s drilled so many holes in the wings :doh: he obviously didn't measure up and had to drill twice for the rivets
 
chassis mods didnt you change an Xmember?? Lool depends how arsey the Vosa guy is that pulls you over. They're having a massive drive on anything modified, VW, LR, Classics ATM

Crossmember is technically a part for part swap, but how would my modified press brake one count? Or my roll cage mounts, it's a open subject really
 
Around our way they pull via look and not reg numbers they just see a modified thing and its in. A tidy 90 albeit on a series Reg usually flys by
